California Center for Sustainable Energy 5th Annual Solar Week
Family Solar Day – Sunday, Sept 27th – 12:00 4:00 pm (Liberty Station, Point Loma) – This event offers activities, including interactive solar displays, solar cooking , craft activities, solar power wheel rides for the kids and an opportunity for adults to speak directly with solar contractors to learn more about how solar can help them save on energy costs.
CCSE Solar Conference – Tuesday, Sept. 29th – 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (Mission Valley Marriott, San Diego) – The conference will offer attendees the opportunity to hear from industry leaders on the important topics in the solar industry. The tracks include: Finance & Rebates, Policy & Planning, The Clean Tech Transition and New Technologies in Solar. Mayor Jerry Sanders will be one of our keynote speakers, some of our other speakers include, Scott Anders from the EPIC at USD, Cisco DeVries of Renewable Funding, Andria Jacob with the City of Portland to name a few.
Commercial Solar Tour – Thursday, Oct 1st – 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Various locations throughout San Diego County) – A guided bus tour will transport attendees to selected locations to view various commercial solar applications and technologies. Attendees have the ability to speak directly to the system owners and installers to learn about potential energy savings and the specific solar technologies.
Solar Homes Tour – Saturday, Oct 3rd – 10:00 am – 3:00 pm - (Various locations throughout San Diego County) This self-guided tour allows the residential consumer an opportunity to view actual homes that have installed solar, solar water heating or other solar technologies first hand. Visitors will have the opportunity to hear from the homeowners perspective and the installer from a technical perspective.
