Factoid Friday: Green and clean - how does San Diego measure up?
Well, 8th in the nation if you ask Travel & Leisure magazine.
Any San Diegan will proudly tell you the things that make this city great are endless. Year-round pleasant weather, joyous coastal living, breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture are just a few of the things we enjoy daily as residents of this beautiful region. However, there are actually quantifiable reasons that illustrate why San Diego is such a great place to live.
Using quality of life measurements such as overall city cleanliness, walkability, public transit, air quality and the prevalence of clean technology companies, Travel & Leisure magazine recently named San Diego as one of the nation’s top green cities. In fact, San Diego ranked so high on the list it surpassed other well-known, eco-friendly cities like San Francisco and Honolulu.
